Reduced-Rate Counselling Services

Sometimes it is hard to access counselling services in Ontario. Reasons can be because of financial difficulties, lack of insurance, or long wait lists. As a result, individuals experience increased symptoms of stress, anxiety and/or depression and not getting the help they need.

That is why we are offering reduced-rate counselling services. Either through video or telephone you can safely access help from your own home.

Important to realize that counsellors providing sliding scale and reduced fee services are Masters of Counselling and Psychology (MACP) candidates from Yorkville University. Also, they are mature students supervised by a registered psychotherapist.

With this in mind, interns are already trained with the theory they need to provide counselling for anxiety or depression.

To sum up our counsellors are:

  • Trained in providing active listening skills, empathy, and a non-judgmental space
  • Completed Master's level courses in trauma, cognitive behavioural therapy, and biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Able to apply their knowledge and skills to help individuals achieve their goals.
