Christina Janiga, Registered Psychotherapist, provides clinical supervision to Masters-level students as well as practicing psychotherapists. Christina is an independent practitioner, has completed 45+ hours of clinical supervision training, and meets all CRPO Clinical Supervisor requirements. Counselling Supervision by a Registered Psychotherapist provides the opportunity to promote your professional growth and gain valuable experience and knowledge when working towards your registration with the CRPO. Being supervised allows you to learn and refine your therapeutic abilities, learn more about yourself as a therapist, and gain a better understanding of the types of clients you may interact with in the future. Supervision also ensures you are practicing Safe and Effective Use of Self (SEUS) when conducting couselling or psychotherapy and, most importantly, safeguards the safety and well-being of your clients.

When you’re being supervised during a counselling or psychotherapy session, we’ll work together to assess your strengths, identify points of improvements, and establish learning goals. During a supervised session, we’ll problem-solve specific cases, look out for and address common ethical issues, and discuss ways to build, operate, or participate in a successful private practice.
